\This has been a crazy week with me not being in the classroom Wednesday or Thursday. Wednesday I had the opportunity to go through a second round job interview and Thursday I was able to visit a fellow student teacher at Conneaut Senior High School… a blog that will soon follow.
So how did my week go…

In Ag Mechanics this week we started small gas engines, and area of Ag Mechanics that still intimidates me, but each day I feel more confident in teaching it.
To ensure that the students know the correct terminology they are creating engine part flash cards that have to have a picture of each part along with the part description and they have to identify which system it is apart of.
As the students have began to tear their engines apart today the new rule is that if you remove the part then you have to be able to tell me the name and explain its function. This has greatly slowed down the process and increased the use of the manuals but the wheels are turning and thats what I like to see.
Ag science 3 has been an exciting week of the students continuing to learn about IPM and working on their pesticide safety skits. The students are really getting into these skits and I am extremely excited to see the finished project.
As I sit here finishing up this blog at 1:30 am I am looking back at my week and I am realizing it is a bit of a blur with all that has been happening. As I look to next week another crazy jam packed week is in store as I embark on an interview, meetings, officer selection, the FFA Creed Contest, and my very first pesticide meeting.I shall finish with this final reflection, you never know how things will go or where you will end up in the end. I never imagined that I would be student teaching at such an amazing program, I never thought I would be getting job interviews in February and I never imagined the impact that these students would have on me and its only week 7… still so much for all to gain.
till next time...
A super busy week - well then FFA Week is usually super busy. Glad you go to experience some of the excitement and drama of FFA Week! Most of us look forward to this crazy week ad then look forward too it being over.
